The BARRIE FREE METHODIST CHURCH is looking for a DIRECTOR OF CHILDREN'S MINISTRY. This is a part-time paid staff position, 25 hour / week. Over the past four years we have annually increased hours to this position - it is our intention that as the ministry continues to grow, this position will become full time. The candidate should: 1. display an obvious love for the Lord; 2. have an obvious love for children and families; 3. have experience and training as an educator and/or in children's ministries; 4. have gifts of leadership, team building and administration; 5. [be willing to] be on track with FMCIC; and 6. preference will be shown to candidates with some formal Bible training.

He/She will work with a team of volunteers who will assist in the various aspects of the ministry. The director must be able to relate to all age levels of children, be a good communicator with children as well as volunteers and parents, and be a self-motivator. This person must be in agreement with the Free Methodist Church’s doctrine and polity, and must live an exemplary life that honors God and His Word.
